Southport, Maine

A naturalistic haven on the coast of Maine.

The existing plant palette and our appreciation for harsh, coastal conditions inspired this garden to take the form of an upland meadow— full of native grasses and forbs, but thoughtfully mixed with woodland trees & shrubs to blur the lines between open coastline below and tree-heavy slopes above.

Maintenance is minimal and species are encouraged to spread, self-seed, and morph as new plant communities establish.
